This map and information have been
provided to assist you in navigating around the ranch and various
spring creeks. We take pride in giving you the rare experience of
exclusive use of your section of the ranch and we sincerely hope
that it is one of the most unique fishing experiences you will have.
The spring creeks are made up of
separate fishing areas:
-
Big
Meadow
- This spring creek (colored
red)
meanders through a big open meadow and includes Kansas Lake.
-
Fox
Island - This area (colored
green) also meanders through a
meadow, but part of it is bordered on one side by willows
and trees. Fox Island also includes Kansas Lake.
(Big Meadow and Fox Island are
exclusive use to the anglers who have reserved them. Picnic
area, wall tent and a toilet are available for all anglers to
share at Kansas Lake.)
Please adhere to these simple rules:
-
Fly Fishing,
Catch and Release (barbless hooks).
-
Use only nets
made of soft mesh or rubber.
-
Drive on
gravel roads.
-
Please take
your trash with you.
-
We encourage
the use of non-felted wading boots to prevent the spread of
aquatic invasive plants and animals.
-
No dogs.
Open Dates:
April 1st thru September 30th. In April and May there may be
cattle on some of the
meadows.
Gallery: We
love to get your photos with our fish. If you will send photos to
us, we will add them
to our Photo Gallery on this web site.
Fish: You can
expect to catch rainbow, brown and brook trout.
Playing and
Releasing Fish: Land fish as quickly and gently as possible to
help keep the
mortality rate low. If you are
taking photos of your fish, please don't keep them out of the
water more than 15 seconds.
Please take extra care in handling the fish. Returning fish to
the water quickly will assist
in their recovery. |
